This type of handwoven wool blanket is commonly used as a furniture drape, as in over the back or arm rest on a chair, or maybe on a side table or on the wall. They also get sewn up into pillows. This piece has natural brown churro as a background color and natural white, red, medium clue, and tan churro wool included in its design. It uses hand dyed yarns, which means that these yarns were dyed by us using synthetic dyes, usually a washfast acid dye. It was woven by Andrea Espinosa who is a Chimayo weaver who learned her tradition from her family. It measures approximately 20 by 20 inches.
