This type of handwoven wool blanket is commonly used as a furniture drape, as in over the back or arm rest on a chair, or maybe on a side table or on the wall. They also get sewn up into pillows. This piece has oatmeal as a background color and natural reds and tans included in its design. It uses natural dyes, which means that yarn in this piece uses dyes that were obtained from flowers, leaves, wood, or insects. It was woven by Vickie Verry who is an expert and talented weaver and a member of the Valdez family who we have been honored to represent here in our shop for decades. It measures approximately 20 by 20 inches.
