This type of handwoven wool blanket is commonly used as a furniture drape, as in over the back or arm rest on a chair, or maybe on a side table or on the wall. They also get sewn up into pillows. This piece has plain natural white as a field color. It uses undyed yarns, which means that these yarns aren't dyed at all, but are the natural color of the sheep who grew the wool. It was woven by Andrea Espinosa who is a Chimayo weaver who learned her tradition from her family. It measures approximately 18 by 30 inches.
