This type of handwoven wool blanket is commonly used as a furniture drape, as in over the back or arm rest on a chair, or maybe on a side table or on the wall. They also get sewn up into pillows. This piece has light cardinal as a background color and oranges, burnt orange, gendarme, and peacock green included in its design. It uses mixed dyes, which means that at least some of these yarns are from natural dyes, and some of these yarns were hand dyed or commercially dyed. It was woven by Andrea Espinosa a Chimayo weaver who learned from her tradition from her family. It measures approximately 20 by 20 inches.
