This style of coat has a long history dating back to the 1920s or so, when the first of these coats were made by cutting up big, handwoven, Chimayo blankets. These coats usually have traditional Chimayo designs on both the front and back panels. This coat has buff as a field color and natural, light cardinal, black, and scarlet included in its design. The shirt collar is the traditional collar on Chimayo coats, a design used for many, many years. The stamped silver buttons we used here are made by a jeweler in Colorado. The garment is fully lined with a smooth and comfortable polyester fabric. The coat is a size 32 and has the following measurements: Chest measurement = 18.5 inches(37inches), shoulder measurement= 12.5inches,sleeve measurement=22inches woven, 23inches knit, regular cut length =21.5inches, Flat bottom length 24inches
