This type of handwoven wool blanket is commonly used as a wall hanging, or draped over the back of a couch. This piece has a dark grey background, and dark brown, natural white, and indigo included in its design. It was woven with churro yarn spun at a mill in Mora, NM and dyed with natural dyes, which means that some yarn in this piece uses dyes that were obtained from flowers, leaves, wood, or insects. Some of the yarns are undyed, sheep colors. It was woven by Lisa Trujillo who is a spinner and weaver with more than thirty years of weaving in the Chimayo and Rio Grande tradition, Lisa has won many awards at Spanish Market. It measures approximately 48 by 72 inches.
