This striking garment is commonly used as a soft and elegant shawl or scarf. It was woven with pedencal silk on a cotton warp. The piece has tan as a background color and white and brown included in its design. The scarf measures approximately 13 x 69 inches. It was woven by Amanda Speer, who together with her partner Dain Daller, forms a fiber arts project emphasizing hand-dyeing that they call The Warp Zone, working out of their off-grid home in rural northern New Mexico.
