7122135 - 20x40 Chimayo, handwoven wool

This type of handwoven wool blanket is commonly used as a furniture drape, as in over the back or arm rest on a chair, or maybe on a side table or on the wall. This piece has rainbow stripes of reds, jade, teal and natural oranges and white included in its design. It uses mixed dyes, which means that at least some of these yarns are from natural dyes, and some of these yarns were hand dyed or commercially dyed. It was woven by Gloria Montoya who is a talented and experienced weaver who specializes in more complex pieces and our natural-dyed yarns. It measures approximately 20 by 40 inches.
