Light Within

48X68, Chimayo, Lisa Trujillo, Dark Oxford- Brown/Green (Naturally dyed with Chamisa/Indigo under Black Walnut), Natural Tinted with Chamisa, Yellow (Chamisa), Blue (Indigo), Green (Indigo over Chamisa).

This is an exploration of an early phase of Chimayo weaving where designs were large and the jaspe designs were more bold than they wound up being.  These jaspes have two rounds, like they are woven in Mexico,  instead of just one, like we do here in Chimayo.  This comes out of studying the vast number of pictures of Chimayos I have collected over the years.
