TwoColumns - 48x72 Chimayo blanket, handwoven wool

$13,500.00
This Saltillo weaving is handspun, mostly undyed churro wool. The blue is hand-dyed indigo. The two vertical columns either side of center were woven using yarn from a striking fleece with assorted browns, grays and white in many different shades... so it is constantly changing colors. The piece was designed around how to use that yarn to the best effect, so this is obviously where the name Two Columns comes from. It was woven by Lisa Trujillo who is a spinner and weaver with more than thirty years of weaving in the Chimayo and Rio Grande tradition, Lisa has won many awards at Spanish Market. The weaving measures approximately 48 by 72 inches.
