This piece is a combination of design influences from Oaxaca, Texcoco, and Chimayo.  We are gaining a deeper appreciation of the shared roots of techniques, equipment, and design approaches between our tradition and the various Mexican regional tapestry traditions.  This reflects some of those parallels and differences, mainly in some of the smaller elements and the spacing of stripes and design, and the more Chimayo-like tapestry design logic.

The piece is of handspun, undyed churro weft.
