Chimayoweavers/Centinela Traditional Arts Since 1982

Jerry Verry

"My name is Jerry Verry. I am a weaver. I have been weaving since 1991, when I married my wife, Victoria Verry, daughter of Rudy and Ginnie Valdez, and learned the family business. I weave many different styles including Chimayo, Satillos, and Rio Grande. Over the years I have woven many different sizes from twenty inch wide to 25 foot wide and various lengths. I have used 2-harness and 4-harness looms, but I prefer the 2-harness. Most of my weavings are sold at Centinela Traditional Arts. I mostly weave at home but at times worked at the shop where I learned a lot about weaving and warping from Irvin Trujillo. I enjoy finding innovative ways to design my weavings while also being inspired by other great artists."
